The hubs and I finally decided to upgrade and get a king-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress we could find. We have littles sneaking into our bed sometimes, especially for morning cuddles, so the extra space is just necessary at this point. We splurged a bit on this purchase because we want this bed to improve our sleep as much as possible. You know the kind of bed that feels heavenly when you slip under the covers? This is our version. Once we picked the bed and the mattress, my hunt for ultra-luxe bedding kicked into high gear. I looked no further than Coyuchi, because the fabrics are soft and organic. They were kind enough to send the hand-embroidered Ombre Sateen Sheet and Pillowcases for my new bed. I love this look because it's understated and beautiful. It's also incredibly versatile because of the subtle design, making it easy to match up with coverlets and duvets.
I knew we needed some more bedding so we packed up the kids and headed north to beautiful Point Reyes. It's a stunning drive and a charming town but my primary purpose was to shop the Coyuchi retail store and outlet. My husband has great eye for design and I love that we chose these new pieces together. We opted for the incredibly soft Jersey Sheet Set in Misty Aqua. Also selected the Mediterranean Duvet Cover and Shams in Indigo—a beautiful diamond-weave knit that is so soft and luxe. It's light enough to use year round but we will probably save this one for the cooler months since our mid-century mod Eichler home is sans AC and summer/heatwaves can get a little toasty. The sheets, however, are buttery soft and perfect for any temperature.
